Ask Thry’vors

Ask Thry’vors is a project of Thyroid Cancer Canada whereby thyroid cancer patients ask medical questions to us, and we relay them to the appropriate member of our Medical Advisory Panel (MAP).  We welcome you to view the current members of TCC’s Medical Advisory Panel and other experts who have contributed to this project.

Ask Thry’vors Question Submission

Thyroid Cancer Canada has a privacy policy in place. We do not share the contact information provided on the Ask Thry’vors Question Submission Form with any outside groups, government agencies, corporations or any other person outside of Thyroid Cancer Canada and the use of the contact information is restricted to that which was described on the Free Membership, Free Products and Free Programs webpage. We welcome you to view the full details about the TCC’s Privacy Policy.

As well, questions posed here are relayed to the medical expert(s) in general terms and without the inquiring person being identified to them. Thyroid Cancer Canada will consider your question's content, and send it to the most appropriate members of the Medical Advisory Panel on your behalf. Often we ask for opinions from more than one member of the panel and post more than one response. Your name and other identtify information will not be posted with the response.

We regret that specific questions relating to one’s own medical history will not be forwarded to the Medical Advisory Panel (MAP) members, but rather we suggest you make specific inquiries to your own treating physician.  For example, our MAP members may be able to speak of a range of TSH expected generally in thyroid cancer patients, but will not suggest specific TSH targets for an individual patient making an inquiry to Ask Thry’vors.
