Online Forum

Thyroid Cancer Canada offers an Online Forum for thyroid cancer patients.  Currently hundreds of patients participate in the forum website that allows communication amongst patients who understand what is it like to get a diagnosis of thyroid cancer, have surgery, treatment and deal with the ‘new normal’ of life after thyroid cancer. 

The Thry’vors – Thyroid Cancer Canada Online Forum offers optional ways to participate. Patients may read through the archived messages looking for information relevant to their situation. Or members of the Forum may choose to be active participants by posting questions or comments, which are quickly responded to by one of the Forum moderators (made up of patient-volunteers). Forum members can also post medical questions, which in turn are relayed to the TCC Medical Advisory Panel. Ask Thry’vors Q&A responses are posted monthly on the Forum.

Free Membership, Free Products and Free Programs!

Thyroid Cancer Canada offers all of its programs, projects and publications free of charge.  To become a member and receive the TCC products or programs, submit the Get Connected Form.

TCC offers:

1. Welcome Package: A folder containing copies of our publications and a welcome message.
2. Thry’vors News:  A seasonal newsletter filled with information about TCC, thyroid cancer news, the latest research, “Ask Thry’vors”, article reviews, events listings, interesting articles, LID recipes and more.
3. Event Notification:  If you let us know what community you live in, we can let you know if a thyroid cancer event is occurring in your area. These events include Patients Forums with local expert doctors offering lectures about thyroid cancer.
4. Ask Thry'vors:  We provide expert responses to your questions about thyroid cancer, from our own Medical Advisory Panel and other experts.
5. Volunteer Opportunities: As a charitable organization, operated entirely by volunteer patients, we greatly appreciate your enquiries about possible support of TCC through a gift of your time & talents.

In-Person Peer Support

TCC is in the process of developing a network of In-Person Peer Support groups across Canada.  For more information about this new program contact info@thyroidcancercanada.org

Support for Medullary Patients

Thyroid Cancer Canada is just in the beginning stages of developing support resources for patients with Medullary Thyroid Cancer (MTC).  Currently, a member of TCC is gathering contact information from interested persons, towards the goal of starting a separate support system for those Canadians with this rare form of the disease.  To become a member of the MTC group, receive announcements and resources please email us at info@thyroidcancercanada.org
