Thyroid Cancer Walk and Run 2017

Where: Toronto
Date: Saturday, September 16, 2017
Time: 9 am - 1 pm

5K Walk and Run.
Each registered runner receive a free t-shirt.
Youth - 17 and under. Senior - 65 or over.
This event is sponsored by the Running Room.

Join us at Etienne Brule park in Toronto (south of Old Mill Road) and a 5-minute walk from Old Mill subway station. Pedestrians and cyclists can also travel through the park on the Tommy Thompson Trail, using entrances at Pasadena Gardens and Lundy Avenue.

Your support will enable TCC to provide those that have been affected by thyroid cancer accurate information, support & empowerment as well as peer support and patient education meetings. TCC also participates in research and advocacy work for patients to gain access to much needed therapies both existing and emerging within Canada.

Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon 2017

Where: Toronto
Sunday, October 22, 2017
Start time 8:45 am. End time depends on race and which corral the runner is in.

Come join us for a full or half marathon or 5K. It's all up to you. Must be 18 years of age.

Create a team to raise awareness and donation for TCC. Each registered runner will receive a free t-shirt.

This year, record-hopefuls Daniel Janetos and Robert Winckler will set out to become two-time Guinness World Records title holders with attempts in the following categories:

  • Fastest half marathon dressed as a chef (male) (current record: 1 hr 47 mins 25 secs)
  • Fastest half marathon dressed as a cowboy (minimum to beat: 2 hrs)

Registration will be processed on the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon website. Deadline for changes is midnight Friday, September 29, 2017.
